Troubleshooting & Tips Error Codes at a glance We thought we would help you decipher some of the common error codes your laser printer displays. Except in the case of a paper jam, which is self-explanatory, most modern laser printers will display an error code - usually a number and the word "ERROR", or on smaller printers - a specific configuration of lights. Scroll down through the list (below) and look for your code. Note: An asterisk (*) indicates that a knowledgeable service technician is required. Also please be aware that it is virtually impossible to list every possible error code for every printer on the market. This list is simply a compilation of the most common error messages for the most common printers, and their usual remedies.
