Handling Precautions
- Do not place the cartridge on end.
- Do not open the drum protection shutter.
- Do not leave the cartridge exposed to light.
Installation Guide
- Turn your machine off.
- Open the door and remove the empty toner cartridge and the used cleaning wand (if applicable) and place in its box to be returned for recycling.
- Remove the new toner cartridge from its protective aluminum bag, and keep it in a horizontal position.
- Pull the tab on the sealing tape straight out and return it for recycling (if applicable).
- Install the new cleaning wand in the fusing assembly (if applicable).
- Slide the new cartridge into the machine.
- Close the door.
- Turn your machine on.
For Brother machines
Each Brother machine utilizes different functions to remove replace toner or replace drum messages. To find how to remove these messages from your machine follow the instructions below:

- Click on “Brother Solutions center”
- Find your machine model from the models shown
- Once your machine is found, look under “Top 5 FAQs”. Find the question asking how to replace either the toner
cartridge or the drum unit
- Click on the question and a detailed explanation will appear
